A new study suggests that the likelihood of children experiencing adjustment difficulties after parental divorce depends on his or her temperament and the motherīs parenting style. Children most at risk for adjustment problems were those who tended toward impulsivity and whose mothers were depressed and/or used rules and discipline inconsistently.
