July 27, 2007, Newsletter Issue #126: Get Support to Help you Change

Tip of the Week

If youŽre trying to make big changes or stick to your resolutions, you may find that not everyone is supportive. Others often perceive change as threatening. What can you do to get more support? -Join a support group; there are many resources and groups online.

-Learn how to manage comments and negativity from others. Move past comments as quickly as possible- if you encounter negativity, look past it.

-Remember that you canŽt change others, however much youŽd like. You can change your own behavior, though. DonŽt allow yourself negative self talk. Its destructive.
