December 14, 2007, Newsletter Issue #146: A Study Routine

Tip of the Week

Try to study at the same time each day. By setting a discrete period of time aside for studying each day, your mind gets used to the pattern and it becomes easier to work during that time. Similarly, create or find a study place. Your study place should be quiet, well-lit, and free from distractions. CanŽt find that in your dorm? Try a quiet cubicle in the library. If you stick to a routine study time and place, psychological research suggests that youŽll spend less time warming up and more time effectively studying.
